For now I don't know much about the "erlier" Doctors so I have to help with info from wikipedia. But I would like to know them step-by-step just as well as I know those "new". /
Zatiaľ toho neviem veľa o "skorších" Doktoroch, tak si musím pomáhať informáciami z wikipedie. Ale rada by som ich postupne spoznala tak dobre, ako poznám tých "novších".

Initial incarnation of the Doctor of race of Time Lords from planet Gallifrey. Very mysterious figure, appears as old frail man, yet with unexpected reserves of strenth and will, with tremendous knowledge of scientific matters and yet unable to pilot TARDIS reliably. Susan explains it with "he is a bit forgetful". First Doctor is abrasive, patronising and cantankerous towards his human companions. First appearance in "An Unearthly Chils", last in "The Tenth Planet", than in 10. anniversary special "The Three Doctors" in 1973. /

2nd Doctor is far more scruffy and childlike than the first one. He is nick named "Cosmic Hobo". Mercurial, clever, likes to play bumbling fool in order to his enemies underestimate his true abilities. He doesn't hesitate to manipulate with people for greater good. First appearance in "The Tenth Planet", last in "The War Games". Guest appearance in anniversaries specials: "The Three Doctors", "The Five Doctors" and "The Two Doctors". known as Brigadier or Brig. One of the founders of UNIT (United Nations Intelligence Taskforce - fictional organisation in DW series). Affiliated to many incarnations of the Doctor, primarily to the 3rd, but also to the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 7th. For long time considered by the Doctor as one of most trusted human aliens and closest friends. Man of the action, who perfered to settle problems by fighting rather than talking. Charming
, professional and serious. First appearance of Brig in episode The Web of Fear with 2nd Doctor, then often with 3rd Doctor who was an adviser of UNIT during his exil on the 20th century Earth. Following the death of Nicholas Courtney in 2011 Brigadier was retired through a line of dialogue in episode The Wedding of River Song where 11th Doctor is informed by telephone that his old friend died peacefully in his sleep several months ago. Brigadiers daughter Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave), Head of stientifical research of UNIT, then played also in 50. anniversary Special The Day of the Doctor in 2013. /

Prvý raz sa objavil s druhým Doktorom v epizóde Sieť strachu, potom často s tretím Doktorom, korý bol počas svojho exilu na Zemi 20. storočia vedeckým poradcom UNIT. Po smrti Nicholasa Courtneyho v r. 2011 je tejto postave venovaný rozlúčkový dialóg v epizóde Svadba River Songovej, v ktorej sa 11ty Doktor po telefóne dozvedá, že jeho starý priateľ umrel pokojne v spánku, pred pár mesiacmi. Generálova dcéra Kate Stewartová (Jemma Redgrave), vedúca vedeckého výskumu UNIT, hrala tiež v špeciáli k 50. výročiu Deň doktora v r. 2013.

3rd Doctor is suave, dapper, sometimes quite arogant, authoritative man of action who practiced Venusian Aikido. Keen scientist, enjoy to work with diverse gadgets in his TARDIS. Spent most of time exiled on Earth, worked as scientific advisor of UNIT, where he became friend with Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. Rarely sent by Time Lords on mission as relucted mediator. Just during these missions he developed foundness for Earthlings who worked with him. 3rd Doctor cared for his companions with paternal fashion. Held veild, but grudging admiration for his nemesis Master. Like to drive fast cars, his favorite is yellow vintage roadster "Bessie. That's why he has nick "Whomobile". Generál Lethbridge-Stewart bol jedným z najbližších ľudských priateľov piatich inkarnácií Doktora, ale hlavne tretieho Doktora, ktorého Páni času poslali do exilu na Zem 20. storočia. Tam sa stal vedeckým poradcom UNIT a spolupracoval s generálom v mnohých akciách.

Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen)
was journalist. She first met 3rd Doctor while working in Metropolitan Magazine and posed her aunt to infiltrate UNIT (episode "The Time Warrior") where scientists had gone missing. She knew there Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and unpaid scientific advisor the 3rd Doctor. She was then 23 years old. Suspisious of the Doctors activities Sarah Jane stowed away in his TARDIS... She had many trips and adventures then with him. Especially close was her relationship with the 4th Doctor.
Sarah Jane as companion was confident, courageous, compassionate and
inquisitive. And a bit feminist, more in practical than fanatical way. She had a sharp mind and tongue. /
Sarah Jane Smith bola novinárkou. Prvý raz stretla tretieho Doktora, keď pracovala pre Metropolitan Magazine a vydávajúc sa za svoju tetu, infiltrovala sa do UNIT, kde vtedy mizli vedci (epizóda "Časový bojovník"), V UNIT sa zoznámi s Generálom Lethbridge-Stewartom a s neplateným vedeckým poradcom - 3. Doktorom. Mala vtedy 23 rokov. Zvedavá a podozrievavá, čo sa týka jeho činností, Sarah Jane sa ukryje v jeho TARDIS... Podnikne potom veľa výletov a dobrodružstiev s 3. Doktorom a hlavne so 4. Doktorom má veľmi blízky vzťah.
Sarah Jane ako spoločník je spoľahlivá, odvážna, súcitná a zvedavá. A trochu feministka, ale viac v praktickom ako fanatickom zmysle. Má ostré myslenie aj jazyk.

Doctor in: 7 series, 1974 - 1981
4th Doctor is one of most unpredictable in terms of his depth, slightly more distant and alien as his previous incarnations. Despite of his whimsical charm, humour, permeated by his manic grin, the Forth Doctor is more aloof and somber than his forgoers. He could became intensly brooding, serious and even callous and cruell. At the same time, he is capable of moments of genuine warmth. He also has strong moral code. To his companions he was protective and somewhat of a father figure. One of the Doctor's most significant relationships occurs during his fourth incarnation and is explored further in his tenth incarnation - his friendship with Sarah Jane Smith is implied to be deeper than the relationships he shared with other companions (as allude to the Tenth Doctor episode "School Reunion"). /
4, Doktor je jedným z najnepredvídateľnejších, čo sa týka jeho povahy. Je trochu viac odťažitý a "cudzí", ako jeho predchodcovia. Napriek svojmu vrtošivému šarmu, humoru, ktorý predvádza s typicky maniakálnym úškrnom, sa 4tý Doktor drží viac "bokom" a má aj temnejšie stránky, ako jeho predošlé inkarnácie. Vie byť zrazu veľmi hĺbavý, vážny, ale aj bezcitný, až krutý. Zároveň dokáže byť veľmi vrúcny. Má aj silný morálny kódex. Pre svojich spoločníkou je ochraniteľskou až otcovskou postavou. Počas 4tej inkarnácie má Doktor jeden z najvýznamnejších vzťahov, ktorý potom skúma jeho 10ta inkarnácia - jeho priateľstvo so Sarah Jane Smith sa stáva hlbším, ako jeho vzťahy s ostatnými spoločníkmi (ako sa neskôr spomína v epizóde 10teho Doktora "Uzmierenie v škole").

Sarah Jane Smith
Her adventures with 4th Doctor started in "Planet of Spiders" after regeneration of his forgoer. She shared a strong rapport to this Doctor. Her later life was shaped by her finding him again. Although she stopped short of saying she had fallen in love with him several hints in conversation with 10th incarnation of the Doctor implied she developed deep feeling for him. Her last moments with 4th Doctor were in episode "Hand of Fear", where the Doctor received a summons to return to Gallifrey, where humans werrent allowed and so they had to part their company.
Later Sarah Jane met from time to time several Doctors and then because of her experiences she became 
defender of the Earth against enemy aliens in Sarah Jane Adventures. /
Jej dobrodružstvá so 4. Doktorom začali v epizóde "Planéta pavúkov", po regenerácii jeho predchodcu. Mala s ním silné puto. Celý jej ďalší život sa formoval jej snahou znovu ho nájsť. Hoci čoskoro prestala vravieť o tom, že sa do neho zamilovala, mnoho náznakov v 
rozhovoroch s 10. inkarnáciou Doktora ukazuje na to, aké hlboké boli jej city k nemu. Jej posledné chvíle so 4. Doktorom boli v epizóde "Ruka strachu", kde Doktor dostane príkaz, aby sa vrátil na Gallifrey. A to je koniec ich spoločnej cesty, pretože na planétu nemajú ľudia povolený prístup.
Neskôr Sarah Jane ešte z času na čas stretne ďalších Doktorov, aby sa napokon, ná základe svojich skúseností, stala ochrankyňou Zeme pred nepriateľskými mimozemšťanmi v Dobrodružstvách Sarah Jane.

5th Doctor is far more vulnerable, sensitive and reserved as his previous incartantions. He threated his companions far moe like members of team and was able to participate willingly under leadership of someone else. He has boyish appearance, charm and nervous energy. He greatly abhorred violence and offten hesitated to take things in his own hands, on the other side he was one of most courageous Doctors. He was also willing to make enormous personal sarcifices to keep his word and safe other from suffering. After Steven Moffats words 5th Doctor was far less excentric and turn excentricity to pained heroism of the man who is so much better then universe he tries to save, but cannot bear to let it stand. First appearance "Logopolis" Part 4, last "The Caves of Androzan", charity special "Time Crash". /
5ty Doktor je oveľa viac zraniteľný, citlivý a rezervovaný, ako jeho predchodcovia. Svojich spoločníkov bral ako členov teamu a bol ochotný dobrovoľne sa podriadiť veleniu iných. Mal chlapčenský zjav, šarm a nervóznu energiu. Bol dôrazne proti násiliu, často váhal, či má vziať veci do svojich rúk, na druhej strane bol jedným z najstatočnejších Doktorov. Bol schopný enormných osobných obetí, len aby ochránil svoj svet a zabránil utrpeniu iných. Podľa slov Stevena Moffata bol 5ty Doktor oveľa menej excentrický a vymenil výstrednosť za bolestný heroizmus muža, ktorý je oveľa lepší ako vesmír, ktorý sa snaží zachraňovať, ale nedá mu, nechať to tak. Prvá epizóda "Logopolis" - 4. časť, posledná "Jaskyne Androzanu", charitatívny špeciál "Zrútenie času".

6th Doctor was unpredictable, volatile, arrogant and somewhat petulant egoist. Portentous, eloquent, of manic behaviour, bombastic outburst and glib, unflappable wit. Sometimes fatalist. But underneath his blustering exterior his incarnation retained the Doctors strong moral sence end empathy. Supremely confident in his abilities, didn't suffer fools gladly. He is the only one Doctor who could operate some complicated gadgets in TARDIS. In spite of his often unstable demeanour he always knew what's right or wrong, allways ready to act when necessary and a little could - even not his companions - stand in his way. First appearance "The Caves of Androzen", last "The Trial of a Time Lord: The Ultimate Foe". Charity special "Dimensions in Time". /
6ty Doktor bol nepredvídateľný, rozmarný, arogantný a tak trochu nevrlý egoista. Nadutý, výrečný, s manickým správaním, bombastickou výbušnosťou a výrečnosťou, nevyrovnaným vtipom. Občas fatalista. Ale pod chvastúnskym výzorom si jeho inkarnácia uchovala silný zmysel pre morálku a empatiu. Zvrchovane presvdčený o svojich schopnostiach ťažko znášal hlupákov. Je jediným z Doktorov, ktorý dokázal riadiť niektoré zložité prístroje v TARDIS. Napriek jeho nevyváženému správaniu vždy presne vedel, čo je a čo nie je správne, vždy, keď to bolo potrebné, bol pripravený konať a len málokto - ani jeho spoločníci - mu nesmeli stáť v ceste. Prvá epizóda "Jaskyne Androzenu", posledná "Súd Pána času: Konečná zmluva". Charitatívny špeciál "Dimenzie v čase".

7th Doctor had most profound change than any other of the Doctors. Beginning as someone bumbling and progressing into a driven, dark gamemaster, affable, curious, knowledgeable, easygoing, excitable, something of the showman, he slowly changed into more serious, contenplative, secretive, wistful and manipulative one. He was absolutely opposed to violence of any art. He tended to reveal only selected information to his companions whenever he consider it's better for their safety. First appearance "Time and the Rani", last "Doctor Who" 1996 film. /
7my Doktor prešiel najmarkantnejšou zmenou zo všetkých Doktorov. Na začiatku ako táraj, postupne sa meniaci na temného majstra hry, vľúdny, zvedavý, erudovaný, ľahkovážny, popudlivý, niečo ako showman, až postupne sa stáva serióznejším, uvážlivým, uzavretým, vážnym a manipulatívnym. Je absolútne proti akémukoľvek násiliu. Má sklon prezrádzať spoločníkom iba selektívne informácie vždy, keď si myslí, že je to lepšie pre ich bezpečnosť. Prvá epizóda "Čas a Rani",posledné vystúpenie "Doctor Who" film 1996.

Doctor in: 1 serie, 2 episodes, 1996
9th Doctor is romantic, rather dark personality. He encouraged those around him to seize life instead of withdrawing from it. He enjoyed to give people hints about their future perpaps in order to prod them into right decisions. It's not clear, what caused his ability to see the future. Doctors debonair youthful, wide-eyed enthusiasm hid a very old soul and dark side of his character. It's perhaps besause od tramuatic experiences he underwent - three years in unescapable prison, destruction of his TARDIS, discovery of Future war which would dehumanise his people and temporary lost of his second heart. First appearance "Doctor Who" film 1996, last - in 50. anniversary special "The Night of the Doctor" 2013, where he regenerated into the War Doctor. /
9ty Doktor je romantická, značne temná osobnosť. Povzbudzoval všetkých okolo k tomu, aby životy zachraňovali, nie ich zahadzovali a ničili. Rád prezrádzal ľuďom náznaky ich budúcnosti, pravdepodobne aby ich priviedol ku správnym rozhodnutiam. Nie je jasné, odkiaľ jeho schopnosť predvídať bola. Doktorova šarmantná mladistvosť a entuziazmus skrývali veľmi starú dušu a temné stránky jeho povahy. Príčnou boli zrejme prekonané traumatizujúce zážitky - tri roky pobytu vo väzení, z ktorého sa nedalo ujsť, zničenie jeho TARDIS, predtucha Budúcej vojny, ktorá dehumanizuje jeho ľud, dočasná strata druhého srdca. Prvé vystúpenie "Doctor Who" 1996 film, posledné v špeciáli k 50. výročiu "Noc Doktora" 2013, kde regeneruje na Vojnového Doktora.
